Blend Of Classic and Modern
Destin, FL
The couple purchased this home as their secondary residence. They wanted to update and personalize it to compliment their lifestyle. They love to entertain, watch movies and have family members join them for the holidays. Comfortable furniture with attention to detail, visual interest, pops of color and bling were the words I kept hearing when discussing the “things we like”. The Mrs. had arabesque tiles from another project that she loved and wanted to incorporate them somewhere in the house (mission accomplished – see the Master En-Suite).

Some of the walls in the home are adorned with upscale grass cloth and embossed wallpapers. Details were added in the tray ceiling of the master bedroom and the fireplace in the living room. A custom cabinet with built-in bookcase and lighting was created next to the fireplace to showoff some of their prized possessions. Textured tiles and natural stones were placed in all the bathrooms and the kitchen backsplash. The master en-suite encompasses the arabesque tiles The Mrs. adores and has custom arabesque style sconces. The kitchen island was done in a beautiful classic blue. Quartzite countertops throughout the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room are elegant. Speaking of the laundry room, it definitely delivers on color. The movie theater is a great place for watching their favorite shows and the grandkids enjoy the huge screen for games. The twin grands have their own sweet little room with double beds and a settee for story time. The entire home was painted from ceiling to baseboards. Attention to detail was given when selecting cabinet pulls, knobs and light fixtures. The outdoor patio is a great place to enjoy cocktails and watch the golfers.
Using a cohesive blend of classic and modern details has given these clients a home to love for years to come.
my home is exactly my style
"Kim did a beautiful job on our home. She met all of my expectations and my home is exactly my style! I am so lucky to have found a designer I could trust to design and project manage our remodel while we were living out of state. My house is what dreams are made of!"
